Welcome to my world!
I am so happy to share all of my hardest work with you and to let you know a little bit about myself.
I recently graduated from The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. I earned my BA in Journalism with a minor in Sociology. I loved every second of it. Before I started at ASU, I attended my first two years of college at Scottsdale Community College where I was a member of the women’s soccer team. SCC was also where I fell head over heels, in love with journalism.
I was born and raised in Flagstaff, Arizona and am so glad to forever call Flag my home. My parents and my black lab, Dallas still live in Flagstaff. I also have two sisters who are more than sisters to me. They live in Tucson. My most strongest value in life is my family. Family will never let you down. They will always be there to pick you back up and keep you trying. I only say this because I have experienced it first hand and can only hope that others have experienced family in a way similar to me.
It is my dream to be a broadcaster. Specifically in sports. I love sports. I have always been active and would love to stick around sports. At first, I only wanted to be on television; working for ESPN or Fox Sports. After taking my radio class, I would really love to work in radio. Also, I’ve been exposed to a lot of social media and have become very familiar with the advantages of things like Twitter and Facebook. I would really love to be able to work with programs like those in any job that I do.
A week before my graduation from ASU, I was offered a photographer/charting assistant position with CBS Outdoor in Phoenix, which I eagerly accepted. I never imagined working in the outdoor sector, but I am so glad that I took the job. I have learned so many things about the way the industry works, and have met some of the most amazing people. After a quick nine months working in the Phoenix offices, I have relocated to the Houston, Texas area and am loving the new setting. I’ve made the transition from working as photographer into working with marketing for Houston. Almost having worked with CBS Outdoor for a year, I must say that it has been very humbling and rewarding. I look forward to what opportunities may come my way in this industry and appreciate the opportunity for new knowledge of it.
It is safe to say that I am anxious for my future. I am anxious to share my talents with the world. I am anxious to cover news, sports, fashion, and whatever else may come my way. I have passion for everything I do. I work with my heart and soul and in the end will stand behind my work.
